Check out the pictures of the new F1G deluxe winder with torquemeter and electronic counter, under F1G accessories.
I have only flown F1G (Coupe) for a very short time. But I think it is even more fun to fly this event
than F1B. The size of the model, and with 1/3 the weight of rubber makes it less expensive to get
into. But don't think smaller is less performance! These little models will give the AMA
unlimited class a real run. But here we have builder of the model rule coming into effect, and one must
build their own coupe in order to fly it in the AMA unlimited event.
September, 2005, I am expecting another batch of F1Gs in October. The models will be photo'd as soon as I receive them.
A simple Bukin F1G will be offered along with the more expensive full featured front end Bukin models. The WINdmill-G has been
updated with a larger wing and a new front end arrangement. The timer has been lightened, and the model should come in at less than
3 ounces with rubber. Stay tuned for pictures.
In 2004 I competed in F1G at the NATS for the first time. 2005, I maxed out, but lost my best model before the flyoffs, and scrambled
to get ready for the flyoffs, converting my WINdmill G quickly from Mulvihill to F1G, and came in 3rd in the flyoff losing only by 15 seconds.
I also flew my WINdmill-G in Mulvihill, and got all 2, 3, 4, and 5 minute maxes prior to launching in bad air going for 6 minutes.
