Mikhail Kochkarov on the left and Sergey Makarov on the right have consistently placed high in the World Cup F1A competition.
They work as a team and consistently place in the top 5 in major competitions and build the very finest quality gliders
that one can purchase.
Sergey is holding the "Long Model", and Mikhail the "Extra Long", typically with electronic timer for bunt and glide, and
featuring an altimeter for finding out high the launch was, and the altitude after for example 60 seconds into the flight.
I have one of these fine models in stock, all white, so that the color can be customized. I flew it 11 flights at the
2004 USA Team Trials, and recorded 11 maxes including the 4 minute super max. I would say at least 1/2 of these flights
launched at 200 feet, and Dtd after 3 minutes at 2000 feet. I wish that I had flown it all 14 flights. But I did not fly
it on my first super max round, and only made 3:57, so was out of the competition, finishing 12th out of 30.
Sergey and Mikhail diligently select materials and processes that make this glider a work of art. The mechanism is all
machined by watchmakers, and the wings are the strongest that you will find for high bunting performance.
They live in the Moscow area and depend on the sales of their beautiful gliders to supplement their sport and profession.
You can usually count on them to attend the Maxmen Meet in California during February, and the Sierra Cup in October.
They come a few weeks early and take advantage of the large flying field and good weather for testing new gliders, and
maintaining their reputation as the innovators and leaders in the sport.
