Mikhail on the left is holding the "Extra Long Model", almost 100" wingspan, and recommended for calm weather super MAXs.
Besides making fine models, they are fine gentlemen, giving the utmost attention to teach others how to fly their flying machines.
They speak very good English, or American, and when you have a chance, have them show you their model features and ask about their latest ideas.
The building to the rear is the Moscow Aviation Institute. They both teach there, and are proud of their uniforms that they are wearing.
Sergey on the right is holding the "Long Model" which has a wing span of about 90" and is ideal in most conditions.
I have flown the "Long Model" to 4:10 in calm air, but I felt the air was a little down on that flight. I will be doing more calm air testing
against other models when I get the chance. There are currently only 2 of the full featured "Long Models" in the USA, and one is in stock at glideTEK.
There are several flyers in the USA that have M/K models of various sizes. Most of these models are either complete with mechanical controls,
or were ordered without the electronic controls, and have black or red Magic controls installed by the owners.
But I recommend purchasing the specially designed M/K controls with the model.
So what does one of these fine F1As cost? The in-stock full featured "Long Model" is priced at $1995. Special ordered with the same features are $1825.
Remove some of the special options such as altitude sensor and RC connector are $1700. Supplied with mechanical timer gets it lower.
